I’ve not got a new online journal through WordPress.com. I was a bit reluctant to use it since I would have really liked a ruby based site. I had a few features in mind when making the switch, but the biggest one was that it had to be able to use a client side app on linux that supports spell checking, caching of posts, and posting of images. There is only one ruby ‘blog’ that can do that at this and good luck installing it in a simple Apache+CGI environment. I don’t think that I could even get wordpress to fully work for the fact that i would have to work on MySQL. Anyhow, I can now type entries offline (hopefully, I haven’t tested it yet) and post at a later time. I hope that I should be able to post more often.
