It makes me wish I had a TV just so I could watch showtime now….

It first started airing just two days ago on the 22nd of march. It is on showtime (what ever that means). Check out thislife.org for more info if you are not familiar with the radio show or any of it.

Saw walmartopia last night with some friends. It was a once night send off show before they go to NY with the show. It was sold out, glad we bought our tickets ahead of time. It was the best show I’ve ever seen. An energy in the cast like I’ve never seen before.

Here I was watching X-Men and suddenly this part hit me, and before I knew it I was laughing my ass off. I promptly ripped the clip to share with anyone that was a fan of the show. It is Season 4 Episode 7 "Beyond Good and Evil 2/4".

I’ve been reading a lot of David Sedaris’ books lately. Over the course of the summer, I intent to read all of them. His stuff is great. Think of a modern, gay, Mark Twain. Witty and funny!

A wonderful feast of a movie. Wonderful story, amazingly put together, and even better acting! “If I’m an Irish, transvestite, terrorist will you still carry me?” The music is great too featuring some 70s disco songs such as “Sugar Baby Love” by the Rubettes. Something like Priscilla meets Blown Away. If you liked “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” then you will love “Breakfast on Pluto”.

I was walking through the bookstore looking for a book for school, and I ran across a new CD by “The Flaming Lips”. I won’t have time to give it a good listen till tomorrow, but so far, I like their older stuff better. I’ve only listened to one song so far, but maybe after I listen to the whole CD I’ll think it the best so far.

Through iRate I found out about Magnatune.com. If you like music then you must check it out. It is a wonderful Indie music label and they even let you completely preview all of their songs before you consider purchasing. Not only that, but they have a wonderful array of music some of which I’ve never seen anywhere else before. I’ve tried looking for decent ancient Russian and Ukrainian music before, but never had any luck. This label has 4 different artists that specialize in just that. Not only do they have this wonderful obscure stuff, but they also have lots of great modern music (techno, ambient, trance, rock, pop, classical, metal, new age, etc). They openly allow you to listen to their music to your heart’s content and then make the purchase once you are certain that you want it. Check it out, you must!

I just got back from watching “Brokeback Mountain”. To sum it up quickly, it has to be the saddest love stories that I’ve ever seen. I cried so hard through so much of it that I had to borrow tissues from the lady next to me. I also reminded me of one of my impossible dreams, one that I just ought to give up on, but despite that, I still hold onto it in desperate hope that one day I will find that person and we will move to the mountains or in the woods live a peaceful quite life.
